Regular price $205.00

Hand-crafted hardback leather version of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, illustrated by Jemima Catlin (ISBN#0544174224). This story of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and his company of dwarves, and their journey "there and back again" to recover the treasure from Smaug the dragon is an enduring classic.

This rebinding in dark red cowhide leather features a back based on Tolkien's own painting of Smaug's treasure horde, and a front depicting the "doorstep" on the side of the Lonely Mountain. "Stand by the grey stone when the thrush knocks, and the setting sun with the last light of Durin's Day will shine upon the key-hole.” Also included are raised bands on the spine, endpapers patterned in red and gold, and a red satin ribbon with gold trim.

Makes a great gift for Christmas, a birthday, a graduation, a wedding, or even a proposal!
